Basic pricing for lugged or fillet brazed frames
Every Kirk Frameworks bike is 100% custom. Frames can be either lugged or fillet brazed steel. There are several styles of lugs to choose from, and you can see various examples of lug designs in the photo gallery pages. Some lugs may not work with your frame due to lug angles or tube diameters.
The lead time for a new frame typically ranges from 7 to 14 months, depending on the time of year.

Kirk frames are available as a frameset only or as a completely assembled bike. If you would like to have your bike ready to roll when it arrives at your house, then the complete bike option is for you. Complete bikes will be built up by me and adjusted to work properly right out of the box. They will be carefully packed and shipped ready to ride with a bare minimum of assembly on your end.

The Kirk Frameworks Flexible Delivery Program
This program is designed to put you on your new bike when it works best for you. We can arrange to have your new bike arrive on schedule for a special ride, a cycling trip, or when it makes financial sense for you. You can have your new bike in as little as 7 months or up to two years down the road, depending on what fits your life and your schedule. (The minimum lead time is 7 months, but this will fluctuate over time.)
Here’s how it works –
- Place a $300 deposit to hold your spot in the queue and tell me when you’d like to take delivery of the bike or frameset. You can pick a time up to two years from the date of deposit. The current minimum lead time is 9 months and is subject to change. The $300 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Pricing is guaranteed for one year from the time of initial deposit. If you choose a lead time longer than one year we will talk before your build and go over the current pricing so there will be no surprises.
- If you’d like to make payments toward your bike over time you are welcome to do so with the only stipulation being that the payments be made using PayPal. Using PayPal will allow you to track what payments were made and when. If you choose to make payments but in the end decide to not go through with the purchase for any reason you will be refunded 70% of the money sent, beyond the initial $300 deposit.
I hope you find the Flexible Delivery Program beneficial to you. If you have any questions at all please give me a call and I’ll do my best to answer them.
How to Order
The most important thing for you to do is to think about some of the things you'd love to have in your perfect dream frame. Then call me and we'll discuss what you want and need and how we can turn that dream into a reality. I am always happy to help guide you in some of your decisions and we can come up with a plan together.
See the body measurements page and bike measurements page to take measurements that will be used in your frame design. Also see the fitting page or call for advice for assessment on your bike fit.
Once we determine the specifications, options and paint details, I will work up an estimate of turnaround time. I ask for a $300 deposit to hold your place in the queue. This deposit is non-refundable. When we are a few weeks away from your spot in line I will contact you and we'll discuss the design details and the estimated final cost of your frame. At this time I'll ask you to send an additional $700 for a total deposit of $1000 before starting work on your bike. The balance of your payment will be due when the frame is shipped to you.
I prefer payment by check or money order. If you prefer to pay with PayPal or credit card, please use the buttons below. Contact me for details or with any questions you might have.
|These transactions will be via PayPal and you do not need a PayPal account. You can use a credit card.

Once your frame design, materials, specs and pricing have been approved by you, send a $700 deposit so that work can begin on your frame.
|Pay Balance Due or Make Payments
After the frame has been built and painted, pay your balance due. You will need to enter the dollar amount of your balance. This is due when the frame is shipped to you. You may also use this button when making a payment toward a frame that is on order.
