JKS X Di2.
Here is a frameset that I just finished yesterday afternoon and it’s headed off to JB for paint. It’s a JKS X, with it’s XL sized tubes, that is built around Shimano Dura-Ace Di2. It makes for a super clean set up with all the wiring inside the tubes. All the wiring ports have reinforcing plates to keep things lifetime strong and there is a port in the bottom bracket to allow the wire to come out and head to the battery that is held on the underside of the non-driveside chainstay. The BB port is dead center on the bottom of the shell so that water will not collect in the shell while allowing the frame to ‘breathe’ and stay dry inside.
I look forward to building it up after JB works his magic.
Have a great weekend.

Simply gorgeous. I feel so fortunate to be waiting on one of these beauties too. Eagerly anticipating seeing this one all built up!
Beautiful!! Very thoughtful design. I also look forward to seeing this bike built up.
Very elegant. Out of curiosity, can you “retrofit” a frame in this way to accommodate internal wiring if someone switches to Di2 later on, or does it need to be done with the initial build?
Thanks for the comments. I like it too.
I’ve never done a retrofit to Di2 but think it wouldn’t be a big issue. It would depend a bit on how the bike is built. If it’s lugged it should be pretty straight forward as the tubes are open to the bottom bracket. If it’s tigged it could be more work to make passages large enough to cleanly pull the wiring through the BB area.
In either case it would mean removal of the old unused cable stops and braze-ons and the installation of reinforcing plates of the wire ports – and then of course it would need to be repainted after the metal work was done. It’s pretty simple work really.

That looks so nice, Dave. Well executed.
Interesting frame, looks good. When do you expect to have it build up?
Hey,
It will get built up and ready for the NAHBS show this winter where it will be a show bike.
