My new personal cross race bike.

I’ve had this paint scheme in my head for a long time now and finally had a bike of my own to try it out on. This is the fillet frameset I brought to NAHBS last year and showed in the raw. I mocked up the paint scheme with and tweaked it before sending it off to JB and then he did a great job picking the actual colors used. Fun to do something a bit different.

I’ll build it up this weekend and then be ready for the fall cross races. Bring on the cold mud.

That looks sharp. I was thinking black and red for my cross bike. What kind of finish is that?

Hey – It’s a traditional wet paint but with a matte clear coat.

The seat tube cluster looks carbon wrapped since it is so smooth.
