What type of bike is it?

Is it a cross bike? Kind of. Dirt road bike? Sort of. Fat tire road bike with disc brakes? Yep….for the most part.

The cool thing about some bikes is that they do not fall neatly into one tight category but instead they blur the lines and boundaries and in the end are just built to work best for the owner. In this case the owner is living in Singapore and he will be using this bike in a large number of conditions. It’s got big fatty road tires at the moment but can also take a cross tire for more straight up offroad use.

The frame is fillet brazed from Reynolds 853 Pro main tubes and my Kirk by Reynolds stays. It’s all set up for Di2 and disc brakes. The disc brake cable routing is set up to run either cables or in the future hydro lines should the owner choose to go that way. The cockpit is painted to match Enve carbon stuff and the wheels are disc specific Enve with King 6 bolt disc hubs.

After I got it built yesterday and fine tuned I had Karin take it out as it’s pretty close to her size and all I can say is that if it were up to her she’d keep this one and I’d build another for the client. Fun bike to ride.

Thanks T.E. – enjoy the ride!
