Lots of white.
Well winter arrived a bit later than is normal but it hit in a big way yesterday. We got about 8″ of heavy wet snow and it made the mountains prettier than you can image. I took the mountain photo from the office window and yes the sky really is that blue.
There was also so white inside today. I built up a bike for Hilary and it’s headed way down south so the riding will still be nice and I hope she can get out on the bike right away and have some fun.
I love the white parts – they make the bike a bit more feminine and lighter looking and they tie in so well with the perfect pin stripes Joe Bell laid down.
That’s all for now.

Hey Dave I’m not normally a fan of fillet brazed frames. But this one as well as the “putz” bike are really cool. The paint job on this is spectacular in that everything works. Cool stuff.
Yo Dave, Is that a new Terraplane logo? I hadn’t noticed it in days of yore. Really cool.
Hey Pops,
There have been two versions of the Terraplane logo and this one is the older of the two. Pretty fancy stuff eh?

I really like the way this one came out too. I hope she has a lot of fun on it for a very long time.

Mr Kirk, what is your take on those Mon Chasseral wheels? Good for light riders, but what about someone around 170?
Hey Jim,
The MC’s are basically a white version of the DT RR1.1 rims and they are pretty darn tough. I use them in a 28H front and a 32H rear on my cross bike and they take all kinds of abuse an they are very light at 1450 grams for the set. I highly recommend them. Frankly they are a stouter wheel than this rider needed but to go any lighter one needs to spend much more money and even then they aren’t much lighter. And these are white!
Thanks,
Dave

Hey, thanks for the reply. I like how everything is replace-able, i.e. spokes and rims. Nothing proprietary, and solid hub mechanicals to boot..
