Spring? Really??

Living in Montana has more than it’s share of charms but spring snow isn’t one of them. I’m all about lots of snow during the winter but once the ski area closes I just don’t see the point. Yesterday was nice enough if a bit cool and then late in the afternoon it started to snow and by evening it was dumping. It started very heavy and wet and didn’t accumulate for awhile until cars and pavement and grass all cooled off enough. And still this morning we woke up to 7 1/2″ of the heavy stuff. It’s supposed to be cloudy and cool today so the snow will stick around a bit but tomorrow it’s forecast to be 51° so things are going to get more than a little sloppy.

I’ve been working on a string of sport touring/credit card touring bikes over the past month. It’s funny how that works. I’ll build a number of full on race bikes in a row with no fenders to be seen and then for some unknown reason every bike has fenders and racks. It’s all part of the ‘great lattice of co-incedence.’

The first person that can tell me what movie the phrase ‘great lattice of co-incedence’ comes from will get a free Kirk T shirt. This spring snow makes me crazy.

FWIW – the fillet bike I listed for sale a few days back is still available and it’s a shame to see the thing just hanging sadly on it’s hook. I’m ready to deal. Give me a call or send me a note.

I think that “Repo Man” may be the movie.

    Is it ‘Repo Man’?

    Dave, sounds like Repo Man.

We moved to Montana in the month of May. I remember heading out to play golf with some new friends and getting snowed on by the end of our 9 hole round.

Ding – ding – ding – we have a winner!

Nice work Adam. Repo Man might just be the best movie ever made. Email me your address and shirt size and I’ll ship one right out to you.

That movie is full of quotable quotes – “one in every car – you’ll see”…………. “Let’s go do some crimes – yeah let’s go get some sushi and not pay!”

I could go on all day.

A hearty thanks to all our wonderful contestants.

In some ways it’s a shame how google has trivialized trivia. I certainly couldn’t remember where I had heard “great lattice of co-incidence” but google of course knew. However, ungoogleable trivia is almost impossible to find.

Everybody talkin’ ’bout radiation. You could have 100 chest x-rays a year. Oughta have ’em too.

. . . . And about trivia. Last night I had dinner with a friend who is the answer on a card in Trivial Pursuit.
