The Galibier.

Just a short note to share a cool photo sent in by a customer and friend of the business from Belgium. He recently took a trip to the high Alps to ride his JKS up some of the legendary climbs there and was cool enough to send me this photo. I’ll be sending his second Kirk (a filleted bike to be used as a commuter) soon and I look forward to more photos from far away.

Thanks for looking and have a good one.

Is that a triple on a JKS? ( — actually, I think that is pretty cool).

P.S. Just curious: how many of us have two of your bikes?

    — Sent from San Francisco, where thoughts of triple cranksets come naturally.

    Hey Eric,

You know I’m not sure if it’s a triple of a compact……..hard to tell from the photos. Maybe the owner will chime in and let us know what gearing he’s running.

I’m not really sure how many have more than one bike. A few years ago I went through and did some figuring and was pleased to find that about 20% of my customers own more than one Kirk. Of course most multiple owners own two but I have a few that own as many as five. Any time someone orders a second Kirk I know I’m doing my job well and that pleases me to no end.

    Thanks for the question.

    Great looking bike. What number?

  4. Eric says:

Five!? I’m trying to quickly do the math on how many different models you offer (I think several came out just in the last eighteen months) cross-indexed with your backlog. Five? That would take some real planning.

I get a discount on everything past the second, right? ;>)

    Hey ,

It is indeed a triple. For climbing the Galibier i used a 30X23 as gearing.
So the gearing on the bike for the moment is Front 52,39,30 and the rear 12-23
In the future i planning for a compact.

    Hey,

I am using a triple with the following gearing.
    Front 52-39-30
    Rear 12-23

I am thinking to switch over to compact
