Headed to Utah.

Yo –

This bike is headed to Utah today to meet its new owner and spend some time riding in the perfect south west desert weather. The owner is from overseas but is in the states right now for the holiday and we arranged to get his bike to him there.

You might notice in the photos that the wheels/tires are dirty and used and that is because they are Karin’s. To save shipping we set the bike up with her wheels and then sent the bike out to meet up with its wheels later. You might also notice that there is no bar tape yet installed. That is because the owner wanted to be able to fine tune lever position before taping the bars. There there will be a taping session happening in a hotel room in a few days.

This bike is a JK Special with Ultegra Di2 installed. If you’ve never used this stuff or set it up it is worth checking out. The wiring could not be more simple and dare I say it’s easier to run than traditional cables. The performance is stellar and the shifts just seem to happen so smoothly you need to look down at first to see that it actually changed gears. It really works very well.

With this bike out the door and another now ready to send to JB for paint I officially start my long weekend.
